"I hope to continue working upon the successes of the governing body and improving quality of life for all the residents of Little Ferry," Cozzarelli, 51, who was sworn in last Tuesday, told Daily Voice.

In her new role, Cozzarelli said she would like to find new grants to help fund municipal projects, improve storm water management, and keep the cost of living at a stable rate.

Before coming to Little Ferry, the Lodi native worked for Clifton as a personnel officer. She has also served as an assistant business administrator for Parsippany.

Cozzarelli has a masters degree in Public Administration from Seton Hall and is working towards becoming a certified municipal finance officer and a qualified purchasing agent.
